N.B. Carolyn was built in 1992 by Heritage Narrowboats (Liverpool).This is a well-cared for 40ft with cruiser stern . This is a self-fit out with 1 owner. Over the years she’s been regularly maintained and improved. Following an insurance survey it was suggested the baseplate be over plated. This was completed in April 2023 by Chirk Marine Services it was also blacked including baseplate and 6 new nodes fitted. She was re-blacked in 2025 and the stern gland re-packed.
The B.S.S. has recently been completed and expires in 2030.
In the engine area is a BMC 1800 marinized engine and PRM Delta gearbox, with 2 alternators (1 for starter battery and 1 for domestic battery). There is also a Galvanic Isolator.
The stern has canopy cover, gas locker (1 x 15Kg and 1 x 6Kg) and battery box.
There is a 100watt solar panel with MPPT controller and a 1000watt inverter.
The boat has full 240volt landline system along with the 12volt systems.
Inside you step into a well sized bedroom with a double bed with storage below and above. There is also control displays and additional storage.
A wardrobe offers excellent storage
The bathroom has a full height shower, cassette toilet (with electric pump) wash basin with storage below and vanity cupboard. A Morco water heater is also fitted in the bathroom
The kitchen has a 4 ring gas hob, a grill and oven, a 12volt fridge, with cupboards above. Twin sink and drainer with storage below.
Living area is cosy and comfortable and has 2 x leather chairs (Captains type) with matching footstools. A side door hatch with Perspex inner xxx . An Aarow wood burning stove keeps the boat lovely and warm when cold outside. A 240volt TV with additional storage also available.
Bow area has two seats with large storage below. There is also a bow cratch cover. Externally on the bow is a large storage locker.
N.B. Carolyn is currently moored at a highly desirable and peaceful secure mooring on the Llangollen canal. While the mooring is not guaranteed with the sale ,there may be an opportunity to retain it, subject to approval from the landowner.
