Description

I'm selling Four Winds after twenty years of happy cruising around the Bristol Channel. She was built in 1978 by Cobramould and was optimistically sold as a five berth. She has a good size cockpit but for cruising she's more comfortable for a crew of two or three. Good locker space. She's a sturdy little boat that has looked after us in some really difficult conditions. She has an inboard Dolphin two stroke petrol engine and also a transom mount for an outboard as an alternative. Internally she could do with a bit of modernisation but is ready to sail as she is. A change of circumstances forces this sale, and I've priced her very low for a quick sale. Keel to hull seal replaced 2023, antifoul ok but will need an additional coat soon. Gas two ring cooker and grill - working but pipework was last renewed several years ago and should be checked.

One minor issues: - the NASA Clipper duet sounder (new a couple of years ago) works fine under sail but is picking up some engine interference when motoring. Probably needs additional suppressors fitting

Engine(s)

Inboard 12HP Dolphin petrol two stroke. Direct drive via centrifugal clutch. Reverse requires stopping the engine and restarting in reverse via three position switch in cockpit. There's also a transom mount if an outboard is preferred.

Sails & Spars

Genoa with furling spar, main (roller and slab reefing). there is a spinnaker pole but no spinnaker.
